Appreciate beauty anywhere

Bookemma is a startup that provides professional beauty treatments at home or office space. In a few steps, you can easily book beauty services and have a professional coming to where you are.

Designing fast and efficiently

With less than a month of time, I was asked to design a MVP for a webapp to show Bookemma’s business concept. The idea was clear but the main user flow unknown.

Define user flow

Working close with the client, was one of the key goal of the project. Based on exiting wireframes, the main user flow was refined and tasks were prioritised.

Design modular

One of the strategies to create a successful product in such a short time is to go for a modular design. Thus, we tried to design by reusing as many modules as possible.

Landing Page

We designed a simple landing page as an entry point to the product. The goal was to reuse as many modules as possible.

App user flow

The design flow was designed for mobile first as 80% of Bookemma users would use mobile to book the service.

Sync with development

The implementation was done externally with not much time for reviews. Thus, a small styleguide documenting base design elements, UI elements and modules was provided.

Facts of success

The Bookemma team continued developing the prototype, launching the platform in June 2017.

Limited time and lack of user information creates difficulties to find suitable solutions for the end-user. A strong relationship between client, designer and developer was the key for a successful result.
